Mel Genge had an old Manitoba Maple tree threatening to do damage to his house in the next big wind storm. With the decision made to remove it a crew came yesterday and skilfully climbed, cut and chipped their way to a large stump with a hollow center. Mel is welcoming any turners who might be interested in a piece to contact him. There are not many really large pieces but lots of red and burl to look at.
