Meeting February 13, 2024

February 14, 2024

Close to forty turners gathered at Walter Murray Collegiate for our regular monthly meeting. A few new members came out to check out what Hub City Turners is all about. Business included:

  • Discussion around purchasing a new club lathe. Vic and Don to report back next meeting.
  • Trent and Glen are running another turning class this weekend.
  • Paul updated the group on Shell Lake. Click HERE for more info. (Scroll down for more details.)
  • Jim outlined the club programming over the next few months.

The main attraction for the evening was a display and discussion about the:

‘One Board Foot Challenge’.

Members were given instructions at the last meeting on using one board ft. of material to create something and bring to the next meeting. It was remarkable to see all the different ideas people had for this challenge.
