About Shell Lake
Throughout the year Hub City Turners hold a number of fun, educational events for members and others interested in turning. The meeting at Shell Lake has been an annual event for many years. Anyone interested in turning or even hanging out with turners is welcome to come. Typically we set up on Thursday afternoon. This involves setting up your accommodation (a tent, RV or local motel/B&B etc.) finding a spot for your lathe and setting up your work space. There is a restaurant on site and public toilets but no showers. The gazebo was built by local volunteers and has loads of 110 and 220 v. power. There is a tarp attached to the perimeter that can be moved up and down depending on the wind and rain.
Please consider setting this event high on your list of summer activities as you will have great fun and opportunities to learn and share your knowledge with others.
