Our journey to participate in the Saskatoon Festival of Trees began simply as “President’s Challenge” projects given to our members at the beginning of our 2023/2024 season. President Jim Beebe challenged the members to “Make a Christmas Tree”, any size/any style for "Show and Tell" at our Christmas gathering held at our December meeting.

In our 2024/25 season, our “President's Challenge” was to create a “Snowman”. 

In September 2024 the turners were approached by The Saskatchewan Woodworkers Guild, and asked us if we wanted to participate in conjunction with them on the 2024 Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation Festival of Trees. We accepted the invitation and our campaign of decorating trees began…
