2024 Festival of Trees Recipient

Following a successful Festival of Trees Show and Sale, Hub City Turners and the Saskatchewan Woodworkers Guild received this wonderful letter from the purchaser of the tree.  We are so grateful for their wonderful words and their support of the City Hospital Foundation. 

Hello!

Normally I would send a card in the mail, but due to the Canada Post strike I guess an email will have to do.

We are the family who purchased your "Woodworks Charm" tree at the Festival of Trees this year. My boys and I attended the show Monday morning because school had been canceled following the storm. We all instantly loved the tree...my Dad and Grandpa were both avid woodworkers, and it seemed as though the tree was channeling their spirits that morning. I was extremely surprised it had not sold yet and took it as a sign it belonged with us.

It looks absolutely beautiful in our house! We actually took all the ornaments off and then put them all back on so we could admire and appreciate every one of them individually. This tree is an amazing work of art, and we feel so fortunate we'll be able to enjoy it for many Christmases to come.

Please extend a huge thank you to all the artists who participated in creating this project. Your work is very much appreciated!
