Online Auction of Carvings by Bob Gander

May 23, 2022

Bob has been a great friend to Carvers and turners over the last many years. He and Laurie are moving to Ottawa and will be greatly missed by the wood working community.

Bon Voyage Bob and Laurie.

A auction to support the accessibility renovations at Grosvenor Park United Church.

A collection of Bob’s beautiful wood carvings will be available in an online auction from May 17 to 27th. Most pieces can be shipped, so folks can bid online from anywhere in Canada, pay online with credit card, debit or Paypal, and have the artwork delivered through Canada Post.
Bidding opens on Tuesday May 17th, and will close on Friday evening May 27th.
View the carvings at this link. Please share it with family and friends who might be interested.

We are extremely grateful to Bob Gander for donating this collection of his carvings to support the renovations at Grosvenor Park United. Bob began wood carving in 1984 using diamond willow found along the banks of the river in Saskatoon. Through the Saskatoon Wood Carvers Guild he enjoyed learning techniques from a variety of instructors. More recently he joined the Saskatchewan Wildlife Artists Association and explored carving more realistic animals, birds and fish, and sculpting more abstract and geometric forms.

Just a sample of Bob’s work up for auction.
