December 16, 2021

Thanks to Earl Eidem for taking notes and photos for this meeting.

Hub City Turner’s Meeting

14 December 2021

Meeting brought to order by President Don Buck at approximately 7 pm.

Short business meeting where our insurance coverage was further explained by Earl Garnet.  He said that our members were fully covered for liability while doing demonstrations during our normal meetings.  If we planned any special demonstrations such as on weekends, we had to inform The Guild at least a week in advance so they could duly inform their insurer.  Likewise if we brought in a non-guild-non-HCT person to perform a demo.

Show and Tell was next with an emphasis on “your favourite turning”.

Earl Garnett: plate of maple with dyed rim

Natural edge bowl from maple burl
