Jim Beebe is the coordinator for meetings and demos for Hub City Turners. He really pulled out all the stops for the December meeting. Well over a month ago Jim encouraged everyone to start making one or more Christmas trees to share at our December meeting. Members responded in droves with lots of different kinds of trees. It is really quite remarkable to see the range of ideas that come from a group of people all with an interest in turning wood.
About 25 members showed up with containers full of their creations. Jim had arranged hot chocolate to accompany a full table of goodies that members brought to share.

Two items of business were discussed:
1. The club agreed to send $100.00 to the Food Bank
2. Gord Smith gave some background on the Saskatchewan Woodworkers Guild insurance policy. It was decided that Paul Schroeder and Trent Watts would investigate insurance and report back to the club.
Here are some images from the tree show.
