Earl Eidem has finished a trio of turnings, each with a different feature. Check them out below.
This bowl is titled ‘Celebration’. Made from Big Leaf Maple, finished with Tung Oil.
The bowl is 12.75 X 3.25 inches.
This one is called ‘Colour Bowl #1’ and is 13.25 x 1.25 inches. The rim is coloured by daubing acrylic interference paint and blowing it with an air brush. After the paint is dry the center is hollowed out to get a nice crisp line between the colour and the natural wood.
Fruit Bowl #3 is 13.0 x 7 inches. The bark was tightly attached and did not require any gluing to ensure it stayed on the wood beneath.
