There are two submissions for today’s keeping in touch.
– Jim Beebe made a bowl out of Corian and acrylic.
– The Northern Lights Woodcarvers from Melfort have been hard at work. Thanks Al Jardine for sending this in.
I recently turned this bowl from two layers of 1/2” Corian and one layer of 1” black Acrylic. I laminated the pieces with a marine grade epoxy. After turning, I sanded to 4000 grit and finished and polished it with wax. The Corian was quite nice to turn, but the Acrylic was very hard and somewhat difficult.
