Now here’s a very safe Covid thing to do. If you find yourself wandering the Boreal Forest near Anglin Lake you will have a headsup as to the strange appearance of colorful parachutes caught in the branches of trees in the area. Check out Gary VonKuster’s exploits.

My goal this summer is to hang parachutes, that I turn, on the trails of the forest in northern Saskatchewan. To start I make a hook out of wire. I attach the turned parachute to this hook.

Next I make another hook that slides into a predrilled hole in my walking stick.

I put the parachute hook on the walking stick hook and gently lift it up into a tree.

So far I have hung 3 but I hope by the end of the summer to hang around 2 dozen.
