Here is some of Jay Scott’s recent work. Thanks Jay for the submission and the pictures.
I picked up a few box elder burls from Mike Hosaluk, a few months ago. I finally got around to turning this, to christen the new Laguna 12|16. The bowl is 160mm x 100mm of box elder burl, turned and sanded to 320 grit, polished and finished with carnauba and beeswax.

A little less impressive than the last one, yet a Box Elder Burl that I am pleased to have turned into a gift for a personal caregiver who has been outstanding in her work. I hope that it is appreciated, that I am able to benefit from her ability for awhile longer, and that in her career as a nurse she is one of those people who makes a huge difference.
It is about 165mm x 45mm tall. Sanded to 400 grit, polished with Yorkshire Grit regular and microfine, sealed with shellac and finished with carnauba and beeswax.
