Duncan Birch had some fun making some ‘Gonks’. I’ll let him explain.

One day I was searching google to see what simple Christmas decorations I could find. There are many videos on making dwarfs. I happened on one that was for making “Gonks” The lady that did the demo says that in Norway these little guys are referred to as Gonks. The biggest problem was finding the hair for his beard. I went to fabric land and was able to buy a cushion top that I cut up. I have enough for probably 100 Gonks. Was a fun little project. The body (that you can’t see” is maple, the hat is paduik the bob on the top of the hat is maple as is the nose. Though I did one that I thought should have a drinking mans nose, so I used purple heart. It had less effect than I expected but it was fun..

Duncan.
