Here are a couple of projects submitted by Jay Scott.

I was never really satisfied with the turning of my largest bowl, to date. Part of that being wall thickness, I was able to re-mount it and when I was done I felt better about the form. It sold in three days.

This photo is the initial turning.

These are photos of the final piece after I remounted it and made the wall thickness more to my liking. It is my largest bowl, yet, finished at 215mmx 90mm ( 9.75″x4.75″). It was sanded to 600 grit, sealed with shellac, polished with Yorkshire Grit Regular and Microfine, then finished with carnauba and beeswax.

We’ve all seen a few pens, so these gifts aren’t exceptional, the gold hardware paired with padauk and the chrome with bloodwood. However, I finally succeeded applying a CA glue finish with my paralyzed hands, and that was worth mentioning. I could now see pens as enjoyable to turn.

I also thought it would be worth sharing that the kits came from a PSI 4-pack with bushings on Amazon.ca. The quality seems very good, it adds to our options of sellers and styles.

Thank you for looking.
