Deb’s turning weekend

June 20, 2022

A group of eleven people shared a weekend of turning, eating, carving, eating, teaching each other, decorating, eating, painting, and did I mention eating delicious food accompanied by dessert with Deb’s famous pies. A big thanks to Deb and her husband Ian for hosting another fun turning weekend.

The following images are of the work created during the weekend or used as inspirations.

The most fun for the weekend was generated by Al Jardine as he ran around explaining how Snerks had invaded Melfort and he wondered if their range had extended as far as Ruthilda.

These Snerks hitched a ride with Al and Gerogia all the way from Melfort.

After some exploration in Deb’s backyard, Al found the raw material that has been involved in the creation of a new Snerk. We watched in awe as a Snerk began to emerge from raw material all around us. These images reveal the complex nature of Snerk creation with everyone contributing one or more element.

These images show some of the work done by individuals.
